This six hour course comes in two parts (Primary and Secondary Care) and covers injury assessment and
first aid procedures applicable to everyday situations and accidents. The course is not diving specific, as
the content shown below demonstrates, and can be applied in any injury situation.

Both Primary and Secondary care sections include home study with video and manual, knowledge review, skill development and practice and scenario practice.

PRIMARY CARE (CPR)

Topics covered : Scene assessment, Barrier use, Primary
assessment, Rescue breathing, One rescuer adult CPR,
Serious bleeding management, Shock management, Spinal
injury management, Conscious choking adult, Emergency
oxygen use orientation.

SECONDARY CARE (FIRST AID)

Topics covered : Injury assessment, Illness assessment,
Bandaging, Splinting for dislocations and fractures.
