Naturally, when considering learning to scuba dive, there may be lots of questions you have that
you'd like answers to.

Here are some of the most frequently asked questions with some answers.

Of course, we can't hope to answer everything here, so please feel free to get in touch with us if
there is anything else you need to know and can't get the answer to either here or elsewhere in the
website.

It's hard to learn ...
Anyone can learn to dive. With state of the art theory materials and individually focussed instruction, learning to dive has never been easier!
The learn to dive course are specifically tailored and designed to make learning to dive easy and fun, so that anyone can pick it up. It's a bit like learning to ride a bike really.

I'm too old to pick up new things ... Anyone from 10 to 70 years old can learn to dive - and frequently do! As long as you are comfortable in the water and can self-certify a medical declaration or get your doctor's consent, there's no age bar to diving. We will guide you through the whole experience, step by step too, so there's nothing to worry about there either.
It's expensive and you need all that gear too ...
The course cost includes use of all equipment, materials, and of course, top quality instruction from PADI instructors. You don't need to buy another thing, although if you do want to splash some cash, we'll help you make the right choices with equipment too. We are able to provide a full range of both new and used equipment to suit all pockets and budgets, so we can help you to choose the right equipment for the diving you want to do.

It's cold here, isn't it ... It's not always as cold here as you might think! The water temperature in the UK can be very pleasant, but if the thought of completing your course here still gives you the shivers, you can complete your confined water (pool) dives and theory here and then complete your course and gain your certification at any PADI dive centre in the world with an Open Water Referral. Check with us for more details.
It takes a long time to learn and I can't devote days to learning to dive ...
A complete course can take as little as a few days or it can be scheduled over weekends and evenings to suit your personal circumstances. We keep courses small so we can tailor them to your individual requirements. We can also accommodate individual instruction if required, so please check with us and we'll see what we can do.

Aren't there sharks in the water ... Yes, and they find diver's wetsuits a bit chewy, so don't worry about them. As we always say, the only sharks you need to worry about are the ones that jump in the water with you from the boat!
