The PADI Open Water Diver course is the most popular recreational diving qualification in the world, with
more divers learning the PADI way than with any other training agency.

Throughout the course, you’ll learn the fundamentals of scuba diving, including dive theory, dive
equipment and techniques.
You earn this rating by completing five pool (confined water) dives and
knowledge development sessions and by making four open water (ocean or lake) dives.

As a PADI Open Water Diver you have the freedom to dive
with a buddy independently of an Instructor or
Divemaster to a
maximum depth of 18 metres.

Virtually anyone who is in good health, reasonably fit, and
comfortable in the water can earn a PADI Open Water Diver
certification. At some point in the course, your instructor will
ask you to demonstrate the ability to swim 200 metres and
tread water/float for 10 minutes.

The PADI Open Water course is fun, friendly and flexible and
is your first step in becoming a certified diver!
